Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Jesner Peel.

Jesner Peel is ideal for oily, acne-prone, and sun-damaged skin; it can benefit combination skin too. Sensitive or darker skin tones require evaluation—your La Ritz esthetician will assess risk and recommend an appropriate plan or alternative if needed.

Avoid retinoids, harsh exfoliants, and waxing for at least one week prior. Disclose medications and recent procedures. Your clinician may prescribe a prepping regimen including gentle cleanser and sunscreen to optimize results and reduce complications.

Expect redness, flaking, and mild swelling for three to seven days depending on depth and individual healing. Most clients resume low-key activities quickly; avoid heavy exercise, sun exposure, and full-coverage makeup until skin calms.

Visible improvement often appears after one treatment, but a series of three to six sessions spaced four to six weeks apart provides optimal results for acne, scarring, and pigmentation. Your esthetician will tailor frequency to your goals.

Most clients feel a warming or stinging sensation during application; topical numbing can reduce discomfort. Recovery discomfort is usually mild and managed with cool compresses, moisturizers, and over-the-counter pain relief if needed.

Follow gentle cleansing, frequent moisturization, and strict daily SPF 30+ use. Avoid exfoliants, retinoids, and direct sun for at least two weeks. Attend follow-up visits and contact La Ritz if you experience increased pain, oozing, or prolonged redness.
