During your session you'll remain comfortably clothed while the therapist alternates Thai stretches with shiatsu pressure using fingers, palms, elbows and knees. Expect targeted muscle release, rhythmic stretching, and guided breathing. Communication about pressure ensures a safe, relaxing experience tailored to your needs.
Absolutely — this combo is excellent for first-time clients. Therapists adapt intensity and techniques to your comfort level, offering gentler stretches and lighter meridian pressure. A pre-session consultation reviews medical history and preferences so we can customize the treatment safely and effectively.
Pressure ranges from gentle to deep tissue depending on your needs; shiatsu uses firm, focused pressure on meridians while Thai work includes assisted stretching. Communicate openly — therapists adjust force, pace and positioning to avoid discomfort and maximize therapeutic benefit.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing you can move in; Thai and shiatsu are usually performed over clothing. Remove jewelry and avoid heavy meals beforehand. If preferred or required, we provide clean attire and guidance to ensure full mobility and therapist contact during the session.
Certain conditions may limit suitability: pregnancy (first trimester caution), recent surgery or fractures, blood clotting disorders, uncontrolled hypertension, severe osteoporosis, or acute infection. Disclose medical history during intake; therapists will recommend modifications or advise physician clearance when necessary.
Many clients feel immediate relaxation, improved mobility and reduced muscle tension right after treatment. Circulation and energetic balance often continue improving over 24–72 hours. For chronic issues, a series of sessions combined with home stretches yields more sustained results.
